Angie spent her early career with the Manpower Service Commission where she was involved in training, marketing and employment. Angie later became a consultant with Training for Advancement, working in the private sector.
Angie went on to become Deputy Chief Executive at Staffordshire Training and Enterprise Council. During her time here she led the development of an economic strategy bringing together seven Local Authorities.
Following this Angie became Chief Executive of Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, Training and Enterprise and Business Link. During her tenure, the Chamber doubled its membership and established extensive international links. The Chamber also successfully secured the contract to deliver the Government’s Small Business Service Activity.
Angie then joined Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce as Chief Executive, a position she held for ten years. Under her leadership the Chamber grew considerably, attracting the largest number of members in the UK. Recognised as having the most effective policy and PR functions in the country, the Chamber won a variety of awards for campaigning and representational activity on behalf of the business community in Manchester City Region.
In recognition of her work in championing the cause of business Angie was awarded an honorary degree, Doctor of Letters, by Salford University and a Medal of Honour by Manchester University.
Angie joined MIDAS in September 2010 as Chief Executive.
