Dave is the Leader of 4* Excellent Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council with Over-arching interest in all portfolios – Authority to deputise for all other Executive Councillors, Stockport Partnership.
He represents the Council at AGMA (the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities)] and is on the AGMA nomination on the Board of the Northwest Regional Assembly as well as the Manchester Airport Shareholders Committee. He is the AGMA Environment Board Commission Chair, and is also the NABMA, (National Association of British Market Authorities) LGA national markets champion. He is also a member of the LGA Fire Services Management Committee and NJIC Fire Management negotiating committee. He is also governor of two local schools Stockport School and Offerton Hall Nursery.
