Dave was elected Labour councillor on 2nd May 2002, having lived within the Ward since 1974.
Dave attended Broadbent Fold School and went on to become a professionally qualified engineer and later worked as both Project and Quality Manager for Ferranti and GEC.
Dave is passionate about music and sport, having represented Tameside and Cheshire at 100 metres.
