Having begun his career as an Area Sales Manager in Tyneside, Tim then diversified dramatically, working as a journalist with the Cape Argus in Cape Town, a huge contrast to business development, in a dynamic and fast changing South African society. This then led on to further journalism experience working for the Daily Times in Lahore, Pakistan, during particularly turbulent times around the peace negotiations with India, whilst freelancing for the BBC and other international publications.
This international journalism experience set Tim up perfectly for a period working in the Commercial Department of the Foreign Office in India, with the majority of time spent in Chennai (formerly Madras), but also connecting with offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
Having decided to relocate back to the UK, Tim joined MIDAS in 2005 as Business Development Manager for financial services. Since then Tim has seen a relatively rapid rise to Head of Business Development in 2007, to Director of Business Development in September 2008, to Deputy Chief Executive in May 2010 and on to Chief Executive in September 2011.
