The festival, sponsored by Optevia held in partnership with BBC Radio Manchester, is designed to improve people’s digital skills with hands-on help and advice for all age groups. The event is aimed at de-mystifying technology and showing just how easy and useful it can be and if you’ve already got some digital skills – what you can do with them!

The Digital Garage from Google. The first step towards making the most of the internet is to show off the best of your business online. Make your website shine, on computers and mobile devices, develop rich content, and learn about the importance of measuring success with analytics.
Helping Businesses to Make their Websites Better, 11am – 11.45am
Be honest, is your website really focused on your customers? Want to increase your conversions and make your website better for you customers? This masterclass is designed to give you hints and tips to spark your interest in usability. It will be given by Rahna Riley, a member of the IAPS (Innovative Access to Public Services) Network Leadership Group.
Reach New Customers Online, 12noon – 1pm
The Digital Garage from Google. Take the next step and make your business more visible online so that new customers can find you. Understand the cornerstones of digital marketing, and learn how to use online marketing tools to reach prospective customers.
Animation workshop, 1pm – 3pm
By Community Arts North West/ Petrus. Create your own animated character using stop frame animation.
