Health and Safety at work: free business seminar

Free business seminar in Stockport on Friday 26th February at 1.00pm: ‘Considering the key business issues that affect directors and business owners in the current economic, legal and insurance climate.’

Altrincham-based The Safety Group Ltd – a leading Health, Safety, Employment Law and Risk Management consultancy offering expert advice and guidance to businesses in the public and private sectors – is hosting a free event for Stockport business owners and company directors. The seminar will be led by three industry experts, who will outline key risks for business and offer solutions for health and safety and insurance compliance and financial issues.

Stuart Beaumont, Director at The Safety Group Ltd, will consider the legal implications of the Health & Safety at Work Act and Corporate Manslaughter legislation from a Directors’ and Senior Managers’ perspective and the consequences for individuals and organisations if things do not go to plan.

Peter Barrett, from J&A Brokers Ltd, will discuss how arranging the correct insurance policies will protect directors and their companies, highlighting the consequences of incorrect insurance cover. Peter will provide an insight into the personal service provided by J&A including face-to-face meetings, as well as free advice and assistance.

Paul McGowan, Financial Consultant at How Financial Review, will provide advice and guidance on the key financial issues that affect businesses, including Key Man insurance and company wills, advising on what measures organisations should have in place in the event of a director’s death or serious illness.
