The University of Manchester is hosting a major international energy conference in December 2011 to bring together some of the world’s leading academics and industrialists.
Innovative Smart Grid Technologies (ISGT) Europe 2011 is sponsored by the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES). MIDAS is an official sponsor of the event, which will look at the use of information and communication technology (ICT) to develop sustainable and environmentally-friendly electrical power systems of the future.
The three-day conference, at Manchester Central from December 5 to 7, will be hosted by The University of Manchester’s School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. It will include panels, tutorials and international keynote speakers representing the forefront of Smart Grids research and deployment. There will be significant emphasis on industrial applications and experience with smart grid concepts and technologies.
