9 April, 2008 – Ethical win for Silver Films with co-operative bank appointment
Manchester based Co-operative Bank has appointed Silver Films to produce tv ad campaign showcasing the bank's number one status for customer satisfaction.
The film production company was appointed following a four-way competitive pitch and the brief will see Silver working in conjunction with Chester-based full service agency, Blacksheep, who will be providing scripts.
Scheduled to air from May, the commercial is to be filmed in locations around the North West including the bank’s Balloon Street branch in central Manchester and will focus on the feel good factor of having an ethical bank account. Silver Films’ Richard Oliver, who will be directing the campaign, comments, “It’s great to be involved with an ethical product such as this, plus it’s fantastic to be filming in Manchester, which is where Silver’s foundations lie.
“Since Silver Films repositioned as branded content specialists last year, our main emphasis has been on producing short narrative films for brands including Lexus and Umbro. It’s good to add some more traditional above-the-line work to the Silver mix through projects such as The Co-operative Bank TV campaign.”
