Liverpool's Walker Art Gallery goes for Reform

12 March, 2008 – Liverpool's Walker Art Gallery goes for Reform

Manchester-based design consultancy Reform Creative has been appointed by Liverpool's Walker Art Gallery to devise its 2008 advertising campaign.

Reform, from the city’s Northern Quarter, won a ten way pitch to design and develop local and regional outdoor and print advertising to raise the Walker Art Gallery’s profile during Liverpool’s Capital of Culture year.

The aim of the campaign is to position the Walker Art Gallery as the principal destination to enjoy fine and decorative art in Liverpool and to provide a foundation for promoting three major exhibitions planned for 2008.

Paul Heaton, Creative Director at Reform, said: "It has been particularly pleasing to be successful in winning a culturally significant project in Liverpool during the city’s Capital of Culture year.

"This is a fabulous time for the creative sector in Liverpool and our brief was to raise awareness of the gallery’s core collection of fine art and position it as a must-see for visitors to the city and local residents."

Tracey McGeagh, Director of Marketing at National Museums Liverpool added: "We want the Walker to be at the top of everyone’s Things To Do list during the capital of culture.

"Reform share our excitement about the gallery, and have worked with us successfully on previous exhibition promotions. They are a creative and flexible team and we are glad to have them on board."

Reform Creative is an independent, multi-disciplined design consultancy who has also undertaken work on behalf of Hope University and the Bluecoat centre, both based in Liverpool. The firm has also branded Manchester’s Asia Triennial arts and crafts festival which will be launched in the city in spring this year.
