Fine Fragrances and Cosmetics has appointed brand design experts, Manchester-based Touchpoint, to create a range of gift sets for Christmas 2008 to help its brands compete in the celebrity-dominated fragrance market.

Touchpoint has been tasked with creating new packaging for Fine Fragrances and Cosmetics’ best-selling female fragrances, including all time classics Tweed, Panache, Chique, White Satin, Lace and four variations of its Taylor of London brand. There will be four gift set designs per perfume.

The appointment follows previous brand development and packaging design work carried out by Touchpoint, who has also developed an innovative range of perfume bottle stoppers for a forthcoming new product launch.

Creative director at Touchpoint, Howard Wright said: "The fragrance market is more competitive than ever, with new celebrity and designer fragrances entering the market every month  from Shilpa Shetty to Posh and Becks – supported by big marketing campaigns.

"Keeping ahead of fast-moving changes in consumer fashions has always been key to Fine Fragrances and Cosmetics’ success. We will be innovating and helping to evolve these fantastic perfume brands with a makeover for 2008.
