18 April, 2007 – University of Bolton establishes campus in United Arab Emirates
The University of Bolton is establishing a branch campus in Ras al Khaimah, UAE with 14 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes starting in September 2008
The campus will be offering a broad range of the university’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Engineering, Business, IT and Art and Design commencing in September 2008. *
These programmes will be directly equivalent to those provided to on campus students at Bolton and will share the same exam boards, quality monitoring process and external verification. All degrees and transcripts will be issued by the University of Bolton, UK and identical to those issued to students at the parent campus.
This means that a two way exchange provision for staff and students will be freely available.
Students will also benefit from the University’s extensive experience of delivering programmes overseas and also from its excellent and consistent record for teaching quality. In a recent bench marking survey of 84 UK universities, the University of Bolton was ranked top for student satisfaction with their teaching and learning experience.
This development represents a significant step in the University’s strategy to become a truly global university. The University will operate proactively with industry and employers to provide career-relevant education.
For further information about this development, please contact: Director RAK Campus, University of Bolton, Deane Road, Bolton, BL3 5AB.
* The provision of these programmes is subject to validation of the delivery model in RAK. All of these programmes are already validated for delivery at the university of Bolton.
