Starting your own business is exciting and fulfilling, and now budding entrepreneurs are reaping the benefits of a unique partnership between Stockport Council and Business Support Solutions.
The Business Start-up Programme, provided by Business Support Solutions who offer direct advice, information and resources for businesses, is now available throughout Stockport due to increased Council support. Whatever type of business you are wishing to set-up, the programme delivered by dedicated business advisors can help you turn your dream into a reality.
The service includes initial awareness sessions, creating business plans, one-to-one guidance and advice, themed workshops and legal and financial advice. Assistance is also available to existing business to overcome the challenges they face in the early stages so that they can take their business forward to develop and grow.
Councillor Sue Derbyshire, Executive Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, said; "New businesses face many challenges particularly at the start-up stage. This programme will enable new and existing small businesses to overcome some of the barriers, and become profitable and sustainable businesses which are vital for Stockport’s economic growth".
Paul Mooney, Director of Enterprise Services at Business Solutions, added: "Stockport is a vibrant and thriving area in Greater Manchester and our unique partnership with Stockport Council will ensure that we are able to assist anyone wanting to move into self employment and also provide advice to existing businesses."
