Event Details:
MIDAS is hosting the inaugural Beyond Digital Health Manchester 2011 (BDHM11).
On 13 and 14 December 2011, BDHM11 will present a conference and exhibition at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester that will look at eHealth, mHealth, personalised medicine, assisted living and remote diagnostics from the perspective of businesses, investors, policy makers and service deliverers, with an emphasis on collaboration across sectors. The event furthers MIDAS’ work in strengthening the links between ICT and life sciences, both sectors in which Manchester has world-class expertise.
Speakers at the event include: Professor Alasdair Rawsthorne, from the School of Computer Science at the University of Manchester; Kevin Dean, managing director of Connected Health, Cisco; Matthew Walls, ceo of Epistem; Shaun Fensom, chair of Manchester Digital and; Penny Attridge, investment director at Spark Impact
BDHM11 is entirely funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is free to attend but pre-registration is necessary. For the full conference programme, speaker and venue information and registration, please visit http://www.glasgows.co.uk/beyonddigitalhealth2011/.
For any questions or queries, please contact Rachel Bullock on Rachel.bullock@placenorthwest.co.uk
There are also limited opportunities available for businesses to present ‘Elevator Pitches’ during BDHM11. If you think that your business has a unique offer and you can condense this offer into a presentation of not more than five minutes’ duration (with or without audio visual aids), as well as being prepared to answer questions from an audience, please contact Damien Roberts: damien.roberts@midas.org.uk
