Canadian outsourcer moves to Manchester creating potential 130 jobs

MIDAS, Manchester’s investment agency, has revealed that Canadian-owned outsourcer Neptune Innovations has chosen Towers Business Park in Didsbury, South Manchester, as the site for its new UK flagship office – having outgrown its existing sites in Glasgow and Basingstoke.

Neptune Innovations’ Managing Director Mike McKenzie chose the Didsbury site because of Manchester City Region’s talent pool. MIDAS is supporting Neptune’s move to the area, providing network and contact building and assistance with recruitment.
Neptune Innovations is committed to developing the Didsbury operation which has an immediate capacity for 130 people.
Mike said: “We’ve invested in a showcase site that’s a step above the average contact centre and boasts excellent public transport connections. I’m confident that we’ll be able to recruit a strong team with the right skills and flexibility by tapping into the diverse workforce in and around South Manchester.”
Colin Sinclair, Chief Executive of Manchester’s investment agency, MIDAS said: “Neptune joins a number of international outsourcers operating out of the Manchester City Region. The move is testament to the strength of the region’s outsourcing sector which already boasts companies such as IBM and Fujitsu.”
Neptune Innovations manages collections services on behalf of several companies, including a top five global bank, one of the UK’s biggest retailers and a major UK utility.  Neptune Innovations’ parent company Allied Global holdings (AGHI) has specialised in Customer Management Solutions and Debt Recovery since 1955.
Neptune Innovations has a strong commitment to training; In the last three years it has risen from 107th to 11th in Training Magazine’s ‘Top 125 Training Organisations’.  The company is also committed to innovation in the workplace such as home working and Neuro Linguistic Programming, a science based around ‘the power of words’, to help it deliver “more productive conversations” on behalf of its clients.
Mike McKenzie has over 12 years experience in the Customer Management and the Outsourcing Industry and is himself an MBA Graduate from Manchester Business School where he specialised in Customer Management. Mike has worked closely with his Allied colleagues in the UK and North America to develop Neptune’s UK capabilities. 
Mike has already recruited the first 16 members of the Didsbury team and hosted an Open Day for clients and prospects on 23rd April.
