Following recent investment by the North West Digital and Creative Fund, Carbon Digital are delighted to announce their move to the fantastic new facility, ‘The Landing’ in the heart of MediaCityUK.
Director Sue McHugh said,
‘The move to MediaCityUK has been a solid goal in our business plan for some time now and we are delighted to be making the move now. The buzz surrounding MediaCityUK is fantastic and the new Landing facility is incredible. The multi-disciplinary space combining post-production, gaming, and related creative industries is absolutely perfect for us and we are delighted to be a part of it. The facilities on offer there gives our business the scope to widen our offering to provide a full range of editing services on our doorstep. As a visual effects agency we are always competing against London agencies but this new facility with mind-blowing connectivity and stunning hospitality suites including a private bar and cinema suite, certainly rivals even the best Soho can offer’.
Director, Paul McHugh, went on to say,
“What attracted us to the facility, aside of course from stunning views of the Quays, is the underlying structure with industry expert, key personnel on each dedicated floor to guide business in the direction of the North West, I believe this is a truly pivotal moment for MediaCityUK and will see the VIP bar become a hub of creative industry contacts, something the North West currently lacks”.
Tim Newns, chief executive of MIDAS, said: “We are delighted to support Carbon Digital on their move to The Landing at MediaCityUK. The new facilities and industry operators based at The Landing will ensure Carbon Digital’s ongoing success as they expand into Greater Manchester. We will be continuously working with them to make sure they benefit from good access to our very talented workforce and the potential to collaborate with other creative companies and the universities in the region.”
The philosophy underpinning ‘The Landing’ is to create open doors and to nurture networking between companies and related disciplines. At Carbon, we have found many projects now involve a number of overlapping elements, with current phones being able to do just about anything, from TVCs, viral videos, apps to games, everything is become much more closely linked. This forward thinking facility has this at the core of its design and it is really going to make a difference to the North West creative industry.
Carbon will be moving its facility in December 2012 and are looking forward to opening its doors with a launch event. If you are interested in joining us please email firstname.lastname@example.org and an invitation will be sent out to you.
