Manchester Science Parks has welcomed two new tenants to its Corridor site, Cooler Master Group, an international technology manufacturer, and F B Wright & Associates, a health and safety law and environmental law consultancy.
Cooler Master Group designs, manufactures and retails different technology products for businesses, consumers and gamers through its three separate brands; Cooler Master, Choiix and CM Storm. The company operates globally but this is its first move to the UK, where it will have a closer relationship with the channel and further develop its brands.
F B Wright & Associates’ partners include Dorothy Wright and Professor Frank Wright. Professor Wright’s academic appointments extend to over 20 years at the University of Salford and the University of Warwick, including more than 13 years as a full Professor. He has international standing as a leading expert in the fields of environmental law and health and safety law and wide experience as consultant to a range of corporate and legal clients. Dorothy Wright is a Graduate Chartered Library Professional with extensive experience in the management of National, Government and University Libraries.
Karine Chang, regional manager at Cooler Master, said of the decision to locate the first UK office at Manchester Science Parks: “This is a very exciting move for the company and we are delighted to have chosen Manchester and the science park for our first UK location.
“Manchester is a great place for business. There is a vibrant business community and its international transport infrastructure means it is ideal for maintaining close links with our other branches.
“We decided to locate at Manchester Science Parks because of its reputation for supporting innovative companies and look forward to growing our UK hub here.”
Professor Wright added: “The proximity to, and relationship with, the local universities is invaluable to our practice and one of the main reasons that we decided to locate at Manchester Science Parks.
“We have also been impressed by the tenant community here, there is a real sense of collaborative opportunity and we look forward to embedding our firm in this professional network.”
FB Wright & Associates has taken 598 sq ft in Rutherford House on a three year lease. Cooler Master Group has taken 166 sq ft in the Manchester International Innovation Centre (MIIC) building on a one year lease. Both office spaces are located at Manchester Science Park, msp’s Corridor site.
