Custard Create Jobs Boosting Greater Manchester Economy

The Greater Manchester area is set to thrive from a recent business move which will see up to 35 new jobs created in the community.

Custard, a dynamic full-service marketing agency, is expanding its workforce and moving premises to Middlebrook Retail Park.

The agency employed around 15 staff just two months ago but has since employed an additional 10 employees from the Greater Manchester area. And we intend to bring in another 25 workers within the next 12 months.

Sam Allcock, Custard’s CEO, said: “Our growth has allowed us to attract a certain calibre of staff that we felt we would find in the Greater Manchester area, hence the move to Middlebrook. We are determined to work with local businesses to contribute to the local economy and the opportunity to create so many jobs in the area is very exciting for us.

“We have made great strides in the digital marketing space over the last three years and our expansion into traditional marketing and design will allow us to provide clients with a full-service marketing package.”

And the firm is committed to working with local companies to boost Greater Manchester’s economy.

Custard has strived to help neighbouring businesses by using local companies to manufacture, supply and install all materials for the new office. The award-winning agency has endeavoured to support the area by using local contractors, and purchasing the equipment and furniture from close by.

Refurbishment of the brand new and state-of-the-art premises has cost in excess of £200,000; money which the Greater Manchester area has directly profited from.

The exciting business development comes at a time when finances are tight during a difficult economic period. So the search has begun for Manchester’s brightest young professionals to join the marketing agency.

Tim Newns, chief executive of MIDAS, Manchester’s inward investment agency, said: “It’s great that high growth digital companies such as Custard are continually choosing Greater Manchester as a base to grow their business. The new base in Middlebrook will give them access to local talent from Bolton University, which has a strong reputation in the creative industries.”

With more than two decades of marketing expertise in-house, Custard is committed to delivering measurable results through creative integrated campaigns on multiple platforms.

Our core, high quality strategies include social media, design, PR, search and traditional marketing; and passion and innovation drive our workforce. All campaigns start with an idea and the experts will help to steer it in the right direction.
