A Finnish company specialising in software solutions to streamline project management processes has brought its new UK base to MediaCityUK in Greater Manchester.
Keto Software provides sophisticated tools for large organisations to develop projects by ensuring project managers are well equipped to track each stage of the innovation process from ideas sharing, strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting right through to decision making, identifying risks, implementation and evaluation.
The company attributes its success in the sector through its unique ability to combine project management styles, Agile and Waterfall, which are used separately by tradition, to create a more efficient process.
Gavin Stark, UK Sales Manager, Keto Software, said: “By moving to Greater Manchester, we have found a great business base with relatively low costs to run a UK-wide office. The direct flights between Manchester and our Helsinki-based HQ make us appreciate being part of the sector’s international community.
“We’re a global company with clients worldwide and moving to The Landing at MediaCityUK in June was an exciting and obvious choice. We chose Greater Manchester as we wanted to be at the centre of the UK’s creative and digital industry.
The company’s client base ranges across retail, science, manufacturing and the public sector, and customers include Boots, HM Revenue & Customs, Sellafield and Tata.
Gavin Stark, added: “Many of our clients are located in the region and by being closer to them, not only can we provide a better service, but we now have excellent business links, access to highly skilled professionals and emerging talent from the universities, which are within close proximity.”
Tim Newns, chief executive, MIDAS, said: “The decision for Keto Software to open its UK office in Greater Manchester is testimony that the creative, digital and tech sector continues to be a strong draw for international companies.
“The collaborative nature of The Landing gives companies like Keto Software and other creative and tech SMEs better connectivity to large companies within the industry. Being at the heart of Europe’s largest purpose-built creative hub provides access to the supply chain, and they are now more accessible to clients and industry peers globally. Greater Manchester is continuing to make substantial investments into state-of-the-art facilities for the sector, which will further cement the region’s reputation as a leading tech destination.
“MIDAS looks forward to seeing Keto Software go from strength to strength in the region and that the ability to better serve their client base and access new markets supports their continued growth.”
