Greater Manchester and Israel have announced a campaign to boost trade between the two.
Greater Manchester and Israel have announced a campaign to boost trade between the two. Gil Erex, Israeli Commercial Affairs Minister is visiting Manchester for two days to encourage joint ventures focusing on the sciences, water technology and energy sectors.
Trade between Israel and the UK grew to just over £2bn and is set to grow over the coming years. The minister highlighted the existing infrastructure such as Manchester Airport and the Universities in and around the Manchester area as a key factor for choosing the North West.
Brian White British-Israel Chamber of Commerce (BICC) Chairman said “Innovation in life sciences will be increasingly important to all markets” and that it will “not only to provide access to cost-effective prevention and treatments for disease, but also to support the continued economic growth for the countries themselves”.
