Heat Radio, the digital celebrity station, is to relocate from central London to Manchester.
Bauer Media, which owns the station, says it will move production of Heat Radio, an offshoot of the popular gossip magazine, to the company’s studios in Castlefield by the end of April 2009.
The company said it was looking to benefit from economies of scale by sharing its studio facilities in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Around eight employees are expected to be affected by the move, although the station will also retain studios in London for live bands, awards and celebrity interviews.
