Latest speakers added to inaugural conference line-up

Leading figures from the property and scientific sector are the latest to sign up as speakers at the UK’s inaugural Business and Professional Services Conference.

Jane Davies, chief executive of Manchester Science Park, Nick Johnson, development director at Urban Splash, and Ken Knott, chief executive of Ask Developments, will present at the BPS conference in Manchester on March 17.

The Conference, organised by pro.manchester, will offer delegates the chance to hear from influential players through keynote speeches, panel debates and interactive forums.

pro.manchester CEO John Ashcroft said demand is already high for places with more speakers yet to be revealed.

He added: “We are already attracting delegates from across the UK who are keen to capitalise on the intelligence our high-profile speakers will be delivering on sector-specific and general business issues.

“From national and global economies to analysis of the UK’s banking crisis and business trends, attendees will be at the forefront of breaking business news and market-leading insight.”

Speakers already confirmed include representatives from the British Banking Association, the Bank of England, N Brown Group, the British Chamber of Commerce and Manchester City Council.

The BPS Conference will cover a wide range of topics including:

• The future of corporate finance and bank funding
• Asia and the global shifts in power
• Impacts of Government Cuts
• The future of savings, investments, pensions and property

The Conference has been organised in conjunction with MIDAS, Marketing Manchester, the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, RMS and the Commission for the New Economy.

It will be held at The Point conference centre at Lancashire County Cricket Club.
