Following the announcement that Manchester Airport will be among the first of the government’s 11 enterprise zones, news and business directory Link2 is bringing together those involved in this exciting scheme for a live symposium to discuss the benefits and opportunities Airport City will bring to Manchester and the wider region.
Link2 will stage Manchester Enterprise Zone Symposium at the Manchester Enterprise Academy on Wednesday, 22 June 2011 (11:00 am – 4:00 pm). The panel will represent some of the leading figures behind the zone, who will present the key facts and answer questions from delegates.
The Manchester enterprise zone represents a major milestone in the city’s recent history. It’s anticipated the zone could create up to 7,000 new jobs, representing a welcome boost to the region.
The Link2 symposium will provide a unique knowledge-sharing platform and will highlight the latest developments on the vision behind this exciting project. It will offer an opportunity for organisations and businesses to address the panel in a ‘Question Time’ format, as well as provide a valuable networking opportunity.
Steve Harrison, Link2 Events Corporate Business Manager, said: “Due to Link2’s presence within the Manchester community, we are proud to be able to deliver such an important event, which we hope will be able to help the project move forward and give local businesses and communities the opportunity to have their say in the development of this area.
“We would like a broad range of attendees to take part in the symposium to ensure all ideas and opinions are discussed.”
Link2 will invite an audience of 200 senior delegates comprising LEPs, local authorities, chambers of commerce, property consultants, planning consultants, architects, urban designers, environmental consultants, law firms, accountants and major businesses.
