Citigate Dewe Rogerson, one of the longest-established and best known international public relations agencies in the world, has chosen Manchester as the base for its new office. The firm, which is headquartered in London, has opened an office in Spinningfields from where it will offer a full suite of corporate and consumer PR services.
The agency is part of international communications group Huntsworth plc and has a network of wholly-owned or affiliate offices across the globe.
Citigate selected Manchester in order to offer closer service to its growing number of clients in and around the area, and because it has identified the city and the region as one with high-growth potential.
“Manchester is the largest UK office market outside London, the strongest performer for foreign direct investment outside the capital and is a fast-growing hub for many sectors our clients are in, from financial and professional services to health and life sciences and manufacturing,” explained Ian Morris, Director at Citigate Manchester.
The firm believes there is demand in the region for its particular brand of communications expertise. “There are some great agencies up here already but we believe businesses in the region will appreciate the ability to tap into the resources of a big international firm and our experience and contacts with media, government, and city audiences without losing the face-to-face service,” said Morris.
“MIDAS has been hugely helpful since we arrived, providing information to help us win business and network with potential clients and contacts. As we expand in the city it will be extremely helpful to have access to its support with all the essential things we have to deal with like recruitment and property, so we can focus more time doing the things we’re best at – managing our clients’ reputations and driving positive PR for them.”
