Angie Robinson is to leave MIDAS in September following her appointment to the role of chief executive of Manchester Central. Tim Newns, the current deputy chief executive will become CEO of MIDAS on 1st September 2011.
Michael Oglesby, chairman of MIDAS, said: “Angie has successfully overseen MIDAS through a challenging period and we are extremely thankful for her hard work and leadership. We are of course saddened to see her leave but wish her the very best in her new role at Manchester Central, which will see her continued close involvement in the delivery of Manchester’s future success.
“Angie will be passing the baton on to Tim Newns, who will step up to the position of CEO in September. He is ideally placed to deliver this role, having worked for MIDAS for over six years, and we are confident that he will continue to deliver the excellent levels of success that MIDAS has become known for.”
MIDAS will continue to operate as usual during this transitional period. The agency remains committed to supporting the delivery of significant levels of new investment and employment for the Manchester city region.
