Unit10 Eventive, the Greater Manchester creative agency who specialises in producing branded family entertainment for the visitor and retail sector, has secured the rights for face to face and mini-show events featuring the popular children’s brand Rastamouse – star of the CBeebies animated series and the popular book series created by Genevieve Webster and Michael De Souza.
The deal was reached last week at Brand Licensing Europe [BLE] in London’s Olympia.
Unit10’s Managing Director Mike Taylor said: “We’re delighted to be collaborating with the Rastamouse Company and are looking forward to working with this exciting brand. We have some great ideas to increase the visibility of the property within our client base, who are always seeking branded, family friendly content for their customers.”
The company’s first outing with Rastamouse and Da Easy Crew will be in early November and Unit10 aims to build upon the brand and expand the range of Rastamouse events and activities into 2016 and beyond.
Greg Boardman, Rastamouse Company Director says: “We have worked with Unit10’s Creative Director, Moray London, for the last three years on a number of fantastic Rastamouse projects all around the UK and believe Unit 10 are in the best position possible to exploit the potential of Rastamouse within their network of visitor and shopping destinations.”
This latest deal marks the end of a busy first twelve months for the creative start-up who set up at The Landing at MediaCityUK in 2014. They are now well established amongst the ever growing community of over 200 businesses which have chosen the Greater Manchester creative, media and tech hub as a base.
Earlier this year, Unit10 secured the rights to produce an interactive visitor experience for The Gruffalo, launching at Sheffield’s Meadowhall Shopping Centre at Easter. The Experience has since enjoyed a five week summer residency at Bluewater, Europe’s largest shopping centre, and has entertained over 36,000 visitors to date.
The team are currently getting ready for their next large event, having recently secured a prestigious contract to provide the North West’s leading retail destination, Intu Trafford Centre, with a new Christmas Grotto Experience, opening 7 November.
Managing Director Mike Taylor, commenting on the company’s first year of trading said: “The Company has had a fabulous start and is setting about acquiring a stellar list of brands as well as a growing list of clients who wish to use our services.”
