NOMA, Manchester’s growing neighbourhood, has appointed a new leasing team as it prepares for the next phase of development.

Federated Hermes MEPC, investment, development, and asset manager for the 20-acre NOMA neighbourhood in Manchester, has engaged CBRE and JLL as joint letting agents amid growing interest from potential occupiers in 2 Angel Square – the next office building to be brought forward in the masterplan.
BNY, the global financial services company, will relocate its Manchester operations alongside hundreds of Liverpool-based staff into its new growth hub at 4 Angel Square – a move that will bring more than 2,000 people together within the established NOMA business community.

NOMA is already home to e-commerce giant Amazon Web Services, high-growth home-grown athleisure company Adanola, The Co-operative Group, Arcadis IBI Group, the dBs Institute, Material Source, the Michelin Star-winning Skof restaurant, and the iconic cultural venue New Century.
Uniquely, the NOMA neighbourhood is also home to Altogether Otherwise, a pioneering community hub, where people meet, mix and connect at a host of free, fun and life-enhancing clubs.
BNY’s move to the 200,000 sq ft 4 Angel Square, Manchester’s most sustainable and smart‑enabled office building, remains the largest regional office deal of the past six years.
Dan Hyde, Regional Development Director at NOMA said: “Manchester continues to lead the way as the go-to regional city, thanks to its talent pool excellent graduate retention, visionary and stable political leadership, its global connectivity and of course its outstanding cultural and sporting pull.
“At NOMA, we are at the heart of a clear gravitational pull to the north of the city centre, with unprecedented investment here, at Victoria North and towards Strangeways. With many major corporates looking at Manchester for their office requirements, we’re receiving some serious inquiries from financial and professional services companies among others.
“The success of 4 Angel Square, which set a new standard in the city centre for quality, sustainability and smart-technology, has established NOMA as a leading destination in the city, so we are keen to move forward with our next flagship office development as soon as we can.
“We are looking forward to continuing our work with established JLL team, led by James Devany and working with the newly appointed team at CBRE led by Joe Rigby, who have been responsible for some stand-out deals in the city recently.”
