In October 2019, the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, led a 30-strong delegation to India to celebrate and strengthen bilateral ties in trade, investment, tourism, culture and education between India and Manchester.
The six-day visit was organised and delivered by the Manchester India Partnership, with support from the Department for International Trade.
The delegation visited Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi, meeting with government officials and business leaders across numerous industries, as well as hosting three major events in each of the cities to drive future collaboration between Manchester and India.
