MIDAS is the inward investment promotion agency for Greater Manchester, with a strategic aim to secure significant levels of new investment for the city region to create and safeguard jobs.
This is achieved through the global business marketing of the city region's key sectors and the provision of an extensive package of free advice and assistance for potential investors and location consultants.

How is MIDAS Run?
MIDAS is wholly owned by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, the economic development agency’s majority funder. Since 2017, funding has been supplemented by the public-private MIDAS Partnership.
MIDAS forms part of The Growth Company, which supports the growth and prosperity of Greater Manchester through the provision of services that will raise Greater Manchester’s profile, attract investment, help generate new business, support existing businesses to grow, and provide individuals with new skills and employment opportunities.
Two special purpose vehicles – Manchester China Forum and Manchester India Partnership – sit within MIDAS, helping to strengthen business, culture and tourism relationships between Greater Manchester and the two respective regions.

International Conference on Mycorrhiza 2024
