The team at First Graphene

Established in 2013, First Graphene Ltd., a publicly traded Australian firm, has set-up an operation in Manchester, UK.

‘Manchester rightly calls itself the home of graphene and our recent arrival here in Manchester coincided perfectly with the opening of the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC)’, explains Andy Goodwin, CTO.

He adds, ‘The GEIC is a fantastic facility with terrific equipment, and it enables us to work directly with academic researchers and access expertise from across The University of Manchester. Furthermore, to be a global business we need to be located in a progressive city like Manchester with great connectivity to Europe and North America. We are pleased to be here”.

First Graphene is aiming to expand its customer base for PureGRAPH™ graphene products and will continue its research and development work into graphene technologies. Working across diverse composite applications such as flame retardancy, strengthening and water permeation resistance,  industrial rubbers, concrete strengthening, batteries and energy storage - First Graphene looks set to expand into the region over the coming months.
