Manchester UK is seeking India’s fastest growing digital companies to join its world-class ecosystem, the second largest in the UK, as part of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 - the contest that recognises India’s emerging and most dynamic tech businesses.

Europe’s top city for business competitiveness, Manchester will visit some of India’s key IT hubs to attract the country’s top firms to the North of England and build new and existing relationships within the market. As a critical market for Indian investors, Manchester will also showcase its strengths in digital excellence.

To attract top performing companies in India’s thriving tech sector, MIDAS, Manchester’s inward investment agency and Deloitte India, will host sessions with  Deloitte Fast50 shortlist on Monday 22 October in Delhi, Tuesday 23 October in Mumbai  and Friday 26 October in Bangalore.

MIDAS is also offering five of Deloitte’s 2018 Technology Fast 50 winners the opportunity to win a  generous establishment support package  to set up their business in Manchester. The prize also includes complimentary flights to Manchester in April 2019 and three night’s deluxe accommodation.

Manchester has a strong digital infrastructure and has the UK’s second highest proportion of tech companies wanting to establish themselves in one of the city region’s flourishing hubs, including MediaCityUK. At the heart of the UK’s ‘Northern Powerhouse’, Manchester is driving innovation across the region and is an ideal business and trade destination for Indian companies to get a foothold in the UK marketplace.

Rajiv Sundar, Partner, Deloitte India, said: “The Technology Fast 50 programme recognises the fastest growing technology businesses in India based on their percentage revenue growth over the past three financial years. It is a recognition of both their growth and ambition”.

Home to ICICI Bank, Tech Mahindra, Hero Cycles, 42 Gears, Welspun, HCL & TCS, Manchester has established itself as a business destination of choice for Indian companies.

India is central to Manchester’s highly successful Internationalisation strategy, intended to strengthen relations and create further bilateral trade opportunities. A key element of the strategy is the ‘Make in IndiaInnovate with Manchester’ initiative, aimed at matching Manchester’s world-class science and innovation capability with Indian industry and academia.

Dan Storer, Director of Business Development, MIDAS, said: “The Deloitte Fast 50 is an effective way for Manchester to promote its world-class digital and technology offer and attract some of India’s most exciting high growth companies to the city. With the support of our partners, this year’s Manchester establishment package promises to be bigger and better”.

“Manchester’s creative, digital and technology cluster is already one of Europe’s most significant centres and provides the ideal environment for Indian high-growth companies to thrive. Deloitte Fast50 winners will have the opportunity to work alongside tech industry giants such as IBM, Microsoft and Cisco”

The Manchester city region is a great place to live, study, visit and work and is always seeking ways to do business with creative, digital and tech sector investors from the international community.
