NUACOM, a leading provider of VoIP business phone systems, has announced it will open a new office in Manchester to better serve its UK customer base.
The Ireland-based cloud unified communication provider, which offers IP phone systems, SMS platform, and Wi-Fi management to a wide variety of businesses, expects to hire more than 50 employees within the next 12 months. There will be opportunities for customer service, sales and marketing specialists.
The decision to develop operations in the UK was initiated by the company’s rapid customer growth and demand for regional services. The company, which started Manchester operations in mid-October, plans to launch a partner channel and establish connections with local industry experts.
Igor Toma, Chief Executive Officer of NUACOM, said:
“Initially, we were looking at the greater London area, as being the most populated with businesses, but eventually decided to go for Northern England, Manchester specifically. Manchester is a great city with a massive industrial history. Currently, Manchester is growing at a very fast pace with a young and skilled workforce.”
Telecommunications in the UK have undergone a massive transformation, evolving from traditional phone lines (the PSTN) to digital IP phone services. NUACOM has been involved in cloud computing technology for over ten years, providing Cloud PBX and UCaaS solutions for SMEs and the government sector. The Company wants to repeat the success it had working alongside its partners in Ireland.
Despite the UK’s impending withdrawal from the EU, NUACOM is confident that Brexit will not affect its business in Ireland or the UK. The company is prepared to adapt to any necessary changes regarding future trade agreements between the UK and the EU trading bloc.
