HOST, Salford’s Home of Skills & Technology, has been announced as a Lead Sponsor of this year’s Digital City Festival which begins on 7th March.

As MediaCity’s innovation hub, HOST will be supporting the annual week-long series of events taking place across Greater Manchester from March 7 - 11 which will celebrate the best in digital.

As part of this year’s Digital City Expo, the festival’s main event taking place between 9-10 March at Manchester Central, HOST has also announced it will be hosting an India Pavilion.

Digital City Expo is a two-day showcase uniting thousands of delegates and global leaders across the tech and digital world to network, collaborate and explore the latest innovations.

The India Pavilion, which will be based within a prime spot at the Expo, will showcase the five high growth tech companies from India that HOST is supporting to scale as part of a contract with the Indian government.

The five tech companies featured at the India Pavilion include Clay Logix, NeoSOFT, Technologies, Prospecta Technologies, GoodBits Tech and Sierra ODC.

The tech firms hail from five different cities across India including New Delhi, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, Kochi and Coimbatore.

On the announcement of HOST as Lead Sponsor at this year’s festival, Mo Isap, CEO of IN4 Group, operator of HOST, said:

“ We are proud to once again be sponsoring the Digital City Festival - the perfect platform to bring together all of the amazing technology companies and growing digital communities we have in the region.

“ The festival is at the heart of one of the fastest-growing technology hubs in Europe and with the highest creative cluster outside of London, the digital sector is continuing to thrive in the North West.

“ It is only through collaboration and expanding our networks that we can drive the prosperity that technology and innovation can bring. It is vital that everyone has fair access to digital technology and the opportunities it can offer, only then can we deliver sustainable prosperity in the regions and unlock the vast potential of local talent.

HOST, which is operated by IN4.0 Group, aims to create a diverse tech community and supports skills, growth and innovation across the sector.

On the new India Pavilion, Mo Isap added:

“ It is an honour for us to host the India Pavilion in a prime spot at the Digital City Expo, where we will be showcasing five of India’s best, high growth, tech companies which we are supporting to scale through our contract with the Indian government.

“ We will also be welcoming other fast-growth businesses to join us in celebration of the digital-city region as an international hub for the creative, digital and tech industries. The vibrant innovation ecosystem we have in Greater Manchester continues to attract inward investment, which in turn generates new jobs and economic growth opportunities for the region.
