Getir begins UK rollout as 10-minute delivery hits the city
Getir, the pioneer of ultrafast grocery delivery is continuing to expand across the UK, with Manchester set to turn purple and yellow as couriers start delivering across the city this month.
Getir was founded in 2015 as the world's first ultrafast grocery delivery service in Istanbul and has grown rapidly in recent years. After successful market entries into London (January 2021), Amsterdam (May 2021), Berlin, Paris & Birmingham (June 2021), Getir will now begin operating in Manchester.
Selected city regions in Manchester will now be able to conveniently order groceries via the app, and choose from over 1,500 everyday products in minutes – seven days a week, day and night, including everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to confectionary and alcohol, as well as personal and home care products. Early adopters of the app will also be able to take advantage of free delivery and a number of special introductory offers.
Operating out of strategically located dark stores across central Manchester, customers can expect their orders in minutes and will soon see Getir’s branded e-scooters and e-bikes safely delivering to customers across the city.

Our aim at Getir is to deliver groceries in minutes, and by doing that we give consumers time back to do other things by not having to pop to the shops when they’ve run out of milk. Manchester was one of the first places we wanted to launch in the UK, and we have big ambitions to grow in the North.
