Engineering Consultancy Practice Pell Frischmann Is Just One Of The Companies That Is Strengthening Their Business Offering With New Recruits

Greater Manchester, a powerhouse of industrial innovation in the UK, is continuing to expand its key sectors' talent pool, as the city-region continues to evolve as a hub for advanced manufacturing.

National engineering consultancy practice Pell Frischmann, which MIDAS supported last year in the opening of their new Manchester office, has announced further expansion of their talent pool at their One St James Square office.

The company was first set up in Manchester in 2018 and has continued its rapid growth with a headcount now in excess of 70 consultants. The headcount growth and expansion of services reflects an increasing regional market share and successful project delivery in Greater Manchester and across the North West.

Pell Frischmann has supported the delivery of some of Greater Manchester’s most economy-driving growth clusters that represent transformational change across the conurbation. These include Northern Gateway, Victoria North, Port Salford, Cheadle Railway Station, Ashton Streetscape and Bury Active Travel Network.

The recruitment drive is in line with a key focus of Greater Manchester’s plans to expand its advanced manufacturing hub to encourage people to work, study and live in the city - by retaining students who will then enter the Greater Manchester workforce, with 50% of graduates choosing to stay in GM beyond their studies.

There are currently over 121,000 students enrolled across five universities with over 36,000 studying STEM subjects accompanied by a skilled manufacturing workforce of nearly 114,000 people working in areas as diverse as aerospace, defence, electronics systems, software engineering and transport.

Matthew Davies, Wales & North West Growth Director at Pell Frischmann said:

“Pell Frischmann go from strength to strength providing the highest quality service for clients right across Greater Manchester. We have taken the opportunity to expand our talent pool and our range of service offering with a number of key hires.
