Defining public value in infrastructure: from appraisal intent to long‑term outcomes

Overview

Public and private sector leaders explore how ‘value’ in infrastructure is defined, evidenced and understood. Moving beyond cost and programme measures, the discussion will consider how completed assets can be assessed for their capacity to support long term public outcomes, including social, environmental and economic value. The session will help shape a future research programme, with findings reported at UKREiiF 2027.
