Manchester’s presence at MIPIM 2026 was officially launched at Campfield on Thursday 11 September.
The launch event brought together public and private sector partners to share the vision for Greater Manchester’s proposition at MIPIM, the world’s leading property and investment event, held in Cannes, each March.
One of Manchester’s most recent collaborative regeneration projects, Campfield’s creative campus was the perfect venue to host the event allowing attendees the chance to see the new coworking and events spaces available to businesses.

As the space filled ahead of Allied London CEO Mike Ingall’s welcome, the enthusiasm for next year’s edition was palpable in the room, no wonder given the resounding success of Manchester at MIPIM 2025 which secured funding for key strategic projects and significant international media coverage for the region.
Inspired by 2025’s achievements, Mike implored the attendees to, “Go with the intention that you are going to do something for Manchester.”

MIDAS is a headline invest sponsor for Manchester at MIPIM 2026 and collaborates with local authorities and private sector businesses to attract investment in the city region.
Joe Manning, Managing Director of MIDAS commented on the launch event, “Our rapidly evolving skyline is evidence of our growth and Manchester’s desirability for global companies and capital investors. Manchester is the UK’s growth opportunity and MIPIM is the place to facilitate the partnerships which deliver the projects that are shaping our city region’s future and economic development.’
A panel discussion led by Victoria Braddock, Managing Director of Marketing Manchester provided the chance for stakeholders to hear advice on how to maximise opportunities for collaboration and exposure, and learn about previous successes at MIPIM.

Tom Stannard, Chief Executive of Manchester City Council told the event, “MIPIM is where we get business done. I have worked in three different authorities in Greater Manchester, and I can count a number of partnerships that would not have happened if it weren’t for conversations facilitated at MIPIM.”
Strategic partners confirmed for MIPIM 2026 announced at the event include Salford City Council, Stockport Metropolitan Council and Tameside Borough Council, who will be joined by private sector businesses Civic, Avison Young, Salboy, Bruntwood and Renaker.
Caroline Simpson, Chief Executive of Greater Manchester Combined Authority said, “MIPIM is a really important statement of Greater Manchester’s ambitions…We have been there year in year out, keeping that pipeline going, bringing forward more schemes, and seeing those come to fruition.”
Attendance at MIPIM plays a key role in the city region’s ambitious growth plan, bringing Manchester to a global stage and allowing stakeholders and investors to connect on investment-ready projects.
The Manchester stand will highlight opportunities that align with the Greater Manchester Strategy’s integrated development pipeline, promote the city-region’s world-class global commercial developments, and showcase why the region is a desirable destination for investors, businesses, and workers.
