On Thursday 25 January 2024, Salford Business School, part of the University of Salford launched the Centre for Sustainable Innovation (CSI) to help businesses embrace change and become more sustainable.

Based in the Maxwell Building of the University’s Peel Park Campus, the centre will bring together leading academics, policymakers and industry partners to drive innovation and support our region’s businesses.

The CSI will focus on pioneering developments in digital transformation and sustainability, connected by a ‘golden thread’ of change management and Innovation.

Bridging the gap between academia and the business world, the CSI will provide a platform for Greater Manchester businesses to access cutting-edge knowledge and research. This includes skills and capacity building workshops and research and development support, empowering businesses to stay ahead of the competition.

In the rapidly changing landscape of business, there are numerous challenges on the journey towards growth including environmental, financial, sustainability and innovation. The Centre for Sustainable Innovation aims to be a guiding light for businesses ready to embrace a greener, more profitable future.

Embedded within Salford Business school, CSI will operate a multi-disciplinary approach, partners accessing the service will have the opportunity to connect with experts from across the University, promoting a collaborative approach which is particularly powerful in addressing multifaceted challenges and driving meaningful, sustainable change.
